Turn any static PDF into an interactive fillable form online for free. Add text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio buttons, and signature fields.
How to Create a Fillable PDF in 3 Steps
Follow this fast, three-step procedure to convert any document into an interactive AcroForm.
Select a PDF Document
Upload your PDF or start from a blank A4 page. The document is parsed in browser memory and rendered for editing — nothing is uploaded.
Add Form Fields
Place text, multiline, checkbox, radio, dropdown, and signature fields on the page. Drag, resize, align, and style every field in the properties panel.
Apply Changes & Download
Press Apply changes to compile the AcroForm dictionary, then download your fillable PDF instantly — no watermarks, no registration.

Designing Standard AcroForm Fields Compatible with All PDF Readers
Technical specifications on AcroForm dictionaries, appearance streams, and tab order generation.
AcroForm Document Catalog
Every field you place is compiled into the /Root catalog /AcroForm dictionary as a terminal /Fields entry with its unique /T partial name, /Rect widget annotation, and default /V value — the exact structure desktop PDF editors produce.
Appearance Stream Regeneration (/AP)
Each widget receives /MK appearance characteristics (border color, fill color, caption) plus a /DA default appearance string carrying the font, size, and text color. /NeedAppearances is set so every viewer renders the fields identically.
Signature & Choice Field Internals
Signature boxes are generated as low-level /FT /Sig dictionaries with /TU alternate-name tooltips, while dropdowns compile to /Ch choice fields with /Opt option arrays and the multi-select /Ff flag when enabled.
Real Tab Order via /Annots
Field navigation order is written by physically reordering each page's /Annots array and setting the structure /Tabs flag — the ISO 32000 mechanism viewers actually follow, not a viewer-side approximation.
