FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the side-by-side PDF translation tool work?

Upload or drag and drop your PDF document and choose your target language from the searchable 100+ language bar. The tool parses each page locally using Mozilla PDF.js, displays the visual page preview alongside editable original and translated text panes, and lets you translate single pages or the entire document with one click.

Is my original PDF document uploaded to remote cloud servers?

No. Your PDF file is parsed and rendered directly inside your browser's local memory using WebAssembly. The full PDF binary is never uploaded to or stored on external servers.

Can I edit the translated text before exporting the final PDF?

Yes. Both the extracted source text and the translated output are fully editable inside the workspace. You can refine legal phrasing, correct technical terms, or adjust formatting on any page before clicking 'Export PDF' or 'Download .TXT'.

What happens if my PDF is a scanned document without selectable text?

If a page in your PDF contains scanned images instead of selectable vector text, our built-in browser OCR engine automatically reads the rendered page image so you can still extract and translate the text seamlessly.

How can I export a bilingual PDF with both original and translated text?

Check the 'Include Original Text (Bilingual)' toggle in the workspace toolbar before clicking 'Export Translated PDF' or 'Download .TXT'. The exported document will include both the source paragraph and the translated paragraph for every page.

Does the PDF Translator handle right-to-left (RTL) languages like Arabic correctly?

Yes. The editor and PDF print renderer automatically apply native right-to-left (RTL) text direction, proper cursive glyph joining, and Cairo/Inter typography whenever translating into or from Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, or Urdu.
