Enterprise-Grade Zero-Knowledge Text Cryptography
Transmitting confidential credentials, recovery seed phrases, private financial records, or sensitive personal communications requires rigorous encryption. The Utilvo Text Encryptor leverages the native W3C Web Cryptography API to deliver authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption straight inside your web browser. With true zero-knowledge architecture, no plaintext, secret password, or cryptographic key ever touches an external server.
Cryptographic Safeguards
Authenticated AES-256-GCM
Combines symmetric Galois/Counter Mode encryption with an authentication tag that immediately detects tampering or corruption, preventing bit-flipping and padding attacks.
Hardened PBKDF2 Key Derivation
Your custom password is transformed into a cryptographic 256-bit key using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations of SHA-256 and a random 16-byte cryptographic salt.
Randomized Salts & Nonces
Every encryption execution generates a unique 12-byte initialization vector (IV), ensuring encrypting identical messages repeatedly yields completely different Base64 outputs.
Zero-Knowledge Browser Execution
All mathematical transformations execute strictly in client RAM. Your passwords and plaintext are never cached, logged, or sent across any network connection.
How to Encrypt and Decrypt Text in 3 Steps
Select Mode & Input
Choose Encrypt or Decrypt mode and paste your confidential message or encrypted Base64 string into the input box.
Enter Passphrase
Enter a strong secret password. This passphrase serves as the cryptographic master key to encrypt and decrypt the payload.
Copy Encrypted Output
The ciphertext is generated in real time. Click “Copy” to store the payload or share it securely with your recipient.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this use authentic military-grade AES-256 encryption?
Yes. We implement authenticated AES-256-GCM (Galois/Counter Mode) cryptography using the native W3C Web Cryptography API. Keys are derived using PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations of SHA-256.
Is my sensitive text or password transmitted to any cloud server?
No. The Text Encryptor executes 100% client-side inside your browser's private memory sandbox. Your plaintext message, secret password, and generated ciphertext never touch any server or network connection.
What happens if I lose or forget my decryption password?
Because AES-256-GCM is mathematically infeasible to brute-force and zero-knowledge architecture means we do not store encryption keys or credentials, forgotten passwords cannot be recovered or bypassed by anyone.
Why does encrypting the exact same text with the same password produce different ciphertext every time?
Each encryption operation generates a cryptographically secure, random 16-byte salt and 12-byte initialization vector (IV). This ensures that identical messages never produce identical ciphertexts, preventing pattern analysis and replay attacks.
Can an encrypted payload be tampered with or modified without detection?
No. AES-GCM is an authenticated encryption scheme. If even a single character in the encrypted Base64 string is altered, the authentication tag verification will immediately fail and decryption will be aborted.
Can I safely decrypt the ciphertext later or on another device?
Yes. As long as you have the complete encrypted Base64 payload and the identical secret password, you can decrypt the text on any device using this tool or standard AES-GCM implementations.
