How to Schedule and Manage Browser Alarms

This Online Alarm Clock lets you schedule multiple daily reminders and wake-up alerts directly in a web tab—no account, extension, or mobile phone required. Every configured alarm is saved locally in your browser's localStorage and evaluated against your system clock every second.

  1. Select Hour & Minute (00:00–23:59): Choose the target hour (00 to 23) and minute (00 to 59) from the dropdown menus.
  2. Add a Custom Label & Tone: Enter a reminder name (e.g., Wake Up, Standup Call, Check Oven), pick one of the 5 synthesized Web Audio tones, and choose how many times the ring cycle repeats (1x, 3x, 5x, or 10x).
  3. Click Add Alarm: Your alarm appears in the sorted active list below, and the header banner updates to show the exact hours and minutes remaining until the next trigger.
  4. Dismiss or Snooze (9 Mins): When the clock hits :00 seconds of your target minute, a full-screen modal pops up with audio playback and options to Dismiss Alarm or Snooze (9 Mins).

24-Hour to 12-Hour (AM/PM) Quick Reference

The Hour selector uses 24-hour notation to avoid AM/PM confusion when setting afternoon or evening reminders:

Reliability Checklist for Overnight Alarms

  • Keep the browser tab open: You can switch to other tabs or minimize the window, but closing the tab stops the alarm loop.
  • Prevent system sleep: Plug your laptop into AC power and set your OS power settings so the computer does not enter Sleep/Hibernate before your alarm time.
  • Verify audio output: Click the speaker icon next to the Sound dropdown before going to bed to confirm your speakers or headphones are unmuted.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No. Web browsers cannot execute JavaScript timers or audio when the operating system enters sleep or hibernate mode. For overnight wake-up alarms, keep your laptop plugged in and set your display/sleep power settings to remain awake.
Yes. Every alarm you add, toggle, or delete is immediately saved in your browser's localStorage (under timer_alarms), so your full alarm list restores automatically when you reload or reopen the page.
When an alarm rings, clicking 'Snooze (9 Mins)' silences the current tone and automatically schedules a new enabled alarm for 9 minutes later—matching the traditional 9-minute mechanical clock snooze standard.
Yes. You can add as many alarms as you need (for example, 09:00 Standup, 12:30 Lunch, 15:00 Medication). The tool sorts them chronologically and displays a live countdown ('Next alarm in Xh Ym') at the top of the panel.
Yes. All alarm tones are generated locally in real time via the HTML5 Web Audio API rather than streaming audio files from a server, so your alarm will sound reliably even if your Wi-Fi drops.
